Studio Mission

The goal of this piano studio is to provide excellent music education for students of all ages and levels. We strive to create an environment where students can grow their talents and abilities at the pace that’s right for them. It is our desire to build confidence in each student as they work to achieve their personal goals. We use music as a tool toward expanding the mind, enriching the senses, and providing opportunity for creative expression.

Studio Code of Conduct

Students are expected to show respect for the instructor, pianos and studio space. Instructor reserves the right to discontinue any lesson in which the student’s behavior proves unproductive. Refunds will not be given in this case.

Practice Expectations

Recommendations for specific assignments will be noted by the instructor in the student’s practice notebook each week. Assignments and practice expectations will be adjusted to fit each individual’s needs and abilities. Generally, it is recommended that students practice a minimum of 4 times per week.

Parent/Guardian Role

We hope to see parents and legal guardians supporting and encouraging progress and regular practice. We expect students to arrive on time for each lesson with the appropriate books and materials in hand. Students need an instrument on which to practice at home. It is recommended that the instrument have 88 weighted keys and be tuned regularly (if applicable). Parents/guardians are welcome to listen in on private lessons, however, we ask that they remain quiet and respectful so as not to inhibit or interrupt the lesson.
